Hello, I'm Jodi, a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.

A little bit about me: I am a native Virginian, born and raised in the Shenandoah Valley. I attended Virginia Tech where I received my undergraduate degrees in Business Management and Hospitality and Tourism Management, which ultimately led to a transition into a healthcare career in 2012. I received my Nursing degree at Marymount University and began my nursing career as an Emergency Room Nurse. It was there that I acknowledged the lack of mental health resources and realized my passion, vision, and desire to become a mental healthcare provider. This realization propelled me to complete my Masters in Nursing with a focus on Psychiatric Mental Health at Shenandoah University.

As a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC), I align my practice with the charge from the American Psychiatric Nurses Association - to deliver holistic, personalized mental health care that integrates biological, psychological, social, and spiritual elements to treat the whole person. Additionally, as a member of the Neuroscience Education Institute, I have completed the Master Psychopharmacology program and continue to invest time to expand my knowledge and skills in clinically relevant medication management, as well as cutting-edge educational trainings. Furthermore, my bedside nursing experience and training empower me to partner with and come alongside my clients in managing their mental health, thereby improving their overall health.

Integration is another core value foundational to my practice. By integration, I mean linking together different elements to create a well-functioning whole. I look forward to partnering with you to seek a deeper integration of the mind, body, soul, and spirit through a variety of treatments and therapies.
